Senior Business Process Designer
Integrates, coordinates and deploys process improvement methods, tools and departmental governance structures to advise management, team leaders and team members of the value and cost impacts from decisions surrounding these functions. Provides technical assistance to Business Process Management (BPM) team members to develop work plans, support quality controls, document process inventory integration points, and facilitate communications between team members to ensure consistency across business processes.
Provides process improvement support or technical assistance to work groups and stakeholders to ensure accuracy & consistency across all business processes. Works to understand the customer groups business and how it is aligned to various business functions.
Develop initial process specifications and facilitation of pre-workshop meetings, facilitating workshops and finalizing business process improvements through post-workshop follow-up.
This position is responsible for developing and assisting with the deployment of business processes within applicable governance structures across associated peer groups and jurisdictions.
Looks for ways to better align business process and information flow to meet end users needs with an emphasis on process integration, process improvement, non-value activity avoidance and sustainable cost savings.
Work with peer resources to develop process specification documents in collaboration with process owners, subject matter experts and sponsors as required. In addition, leading pre-workshop meeting to review and validate the content of process specification documents.
Provide appropriate updates and maintenance of the process inventory and documentation of process inventory integration points.
Works with the project leader to inject process improvement and implementation methodologies to successfully integrate future state processes into a sustainable action. Lead the planning and development of process improvement working sessions as needed to create business process efficiencies and identify sustainable value-drive opportunities.
Assists with developing metrics to measure compliance to process integration results and the downstream sustainable value of completed charters and projects.
Ensure Business Process Management (BPM) methodology standards are adhered to across business process deliverables.
Deliverables include matured process specification documents, process maps, RACI matrices, related business requirements to support the process and metrics designed to measure sustained value and process improvements.
Ensure affected process are maintained within applicable governance structures, regulatory commitments and customer requirements.
Liaison with the Process Management Team Leads to develop overall plans and report progress and status against the consolidated work plan.
Ensure proper documentation of risks, assumptions, issues and decisions related to the process integration event and escalates key issues regarding project challenges and performance gaps to appropriate levels for visibility and resolution.
Bachelors degree and 3+ years of prior equivalent work related experience or 5+ years or prior equivalent work related experience in lieu of any degree
Three or more years experience in process improvement methodologies, such as: Lean, Total Quality Management, Product Quality Management, Six Sigma, etc.
Two or more years of Project Management experience
Two or more years of using Excel pivot tables to populate automated reporting
Business Process Management, Project Management or Process Improvement credential
Proficient skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, process mapping tools, and SharePoint
