Job Description
Kavaliro is seeking a Director of Finance with expertise in Microsoft Dynamics to lead our finance team. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, managing financial systems, and ensuring accurate financial reporting using Microsoft Dynamics.
Responsibilities:
Financial Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships to optimize financial resources and liquidity.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and timely financial plans.
- Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and trend analysis to identify areas of improvement and support strategic decision-making.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis and performance metrics.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory authorities during financial audits and regulatory reviews.
Microsoft Dynamics Implementation and Management:
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Microsoft Dynamics, responsible for the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to customize and optimize Microsoft Dynamics to meet the organization's financial reporting and analysis needs.
- Train and support finance team members in effectively utilizing Microsoft Dynamics for financial transactions, reporting, and data analysis.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Set performance objectives, conduct performance reviews, and provide ongoing feedback to team members to ensure professional growth and development.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiencies, and leverage technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar finance leadership role.
- Extensive expertise in Microsoft Dynamics (specifically Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations) implementation, configuration, and administration.
- Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, accounting principles, and financial analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
- Solid knowledge of regulatory compliance and financial reporting standards.
- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
