Perform engineering project management work which includes preparing budget estimates, overseeing project execution, resolving complex work problems, reviewing invoices, and authorizing payments
Provide engineering evaluations and reviews of project plans, drawings, and specifications prepared by outside consultants for conformance to standards, specifications, policies, applicable codes, regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements
Provide engineering design and documentation for facility modifications, additions, and new construction
Coordinate engineering design and maintenance activities related to emergency power systems, lighting, automated building control systems, security, audiovisual, fire alarm, UPS and battery storage, data center power systems, and other building systems
Accurately estimate project costs for budget and control costs in assigned areas of responsibility
Provide engineering assistance and technical support to other Building Service team members and other departments
Provide technical support for maintenance, modification, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical system equipment.
BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university required.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) License or active commitment to obtain one also required.
Previous experience with the National Electric Code, ASHRAE 90.1, International Building Code, International Energy ConservationCode, IES lighting design standards, electrical power distribution systems, emergency power systems, automated building control systems, and interior and exterior lighting design is preferred.
Must be a self-starter with attention to detail and possess problem-solving, decision-making, communication, human relation, and computer skills.
Ability to work in teams or independently on large projects required.
