HP Operations Network Engineer

Operate and maintain the HPE Operations Manager suite of tools that are used to monitor network devices, servers, applications, and user experience monitoring via AppPulse Active.
Install, administer, manage, configure, test, and integrate tools relating to the HPE Operations Manager tool suite.
The Event Management environment consists of HP Operations Bridge v10, Network Node Manager (NNMI v10), BSM Connectors, Operations Manager Agents, SiteScope and AppPulse Active.
Develop, implement, and execute standard procedures for the administration, backup, disaster recovery, and operation of these Event Mgmt. tools including Operating System hardening, backup management, capacity planning, change management, version/patch management, and life cycle upgrade management.
Work with our infrastructure and application teams to instrument (monitor), tune event policies, and drive actionable runbooks (playbooks) for our 24x7 Network Operations Center agents.
Expand instrumentation to additional infrastructure, and repair broken instrumentation or revise (tune) policies.
Configure network tools to provide up-to-date operational and performance status of networks and devices.Interface with IT staff to adapt tool capabilities to meet operational requirements.
Tune tool performance and event data quality to maximize system efficiency.
Assist with analysis using network and other tools to detect and respond to network infrastructure events, incidents, and outages.
Maintain documentation of designs/configurations.
Work with software and hardware vendors to facilitate support and other activities.
Experience in HPE Operations, Operations Bridge, NNMi is required
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent computer or business related major degree from an accredited college or university.
Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Ten or more years of experience required in three of the following; Windows; Windows Server; Unix operating system; Linux operating systems
LAN/WAN and telecommunications networks.
Telecommunications experience should include telephony, mobile radio, multiplexing and TDM networks.
Three or more years of relevant project management experience required
