Kavaliro seeks a IPTV Engineer to  be responsible for providing advanced technical assistance and support related to computer systems, Cisco infrastructure, IPTV, webcasting, hardware, and software.

Candidate must be able to handle a Reston/DC area commute with limited work from home. Candidate must be flexible in support hours, days available and will be on-call L3 support.

You will be called upon to provide L3 troubleshooting support for AV/IT technology to all users of the organization, including senior leadership. Technology supported will mainly focus on collaboration tools including Qumu webcasting, audiovisual design and troubleshooting for IPTV (top priority), Cisco WebEx Telepresence, and videoconferencing bridging and endpoint technologies such as Cisco and Polycom.

 

The candidate’ s IPTV design experience and technical certifications should be highlighted in the resume. Preference will be given to candidates with advanced CTS, networking, and Cisco certifications. A solid understanding of networking best practices, components, and configurations is required.

 

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Provide L3 hands-on engineering support for webcasting events with senior leaders and teams throughout Company; provide on– the-spot troubleshooting as needed.
  • Lead the coordination and support of designing, installing, and testing new collaborative/video technology, such as IPTV and webcasting, in conference rooms and offices.
  • Provide technical support for L3 Remedy ticket escalations and maintain accessibility after hours and on weekends if needed for emergency technical support.
  • Work with your leadership team to contribute to the ongoing strategy and technology roadmaps of the technologies supported.
  • Contribute to other team projects such as Telepresence, Jabber Voice, and BYOD as needed.
  • Maintain a pulse on industry trends and solutions impacting the technologies (e.g., webcasting, Skype for Business, Cisco technologies, video cameras, and microphones).
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers including Communications, Facilities, Networking (ATT/IBM), and Sodexo audiovisual support teams.
  • Assist with vendor relationship building and management as needed.

Required Skills
  • Experience with IPTV, Cisco technologies, working in a high-pressure environment, and multitasking effectively is a must.
  • Must be able to work effectively and calmly under high-pressure situations.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a changing and constantly evolving environment.
  • Strong attention to detail ensuring effective planning, implementation, and execution of engineering tasks.
  • Broad understanding of IT and audiovisual/videoconferencing system planning, architecting, engineering, and operations.
  • Strong relationship building skills to effectively work in all areas of the business.
  • Experience self-managing services that you are technically responsible for to include making sure that systems are maintained, documented to include system diagrams, tested, and users are adopting features available.
  • Must be able to focus engineering and design skills on improving the customer experience.

Required Experience
  • 7 or more years of relevant experience
  • 7 or more years of technical background in AV/IT, networking, and customer service support

Desired Skills and Experience
  • Understanding of secondary mortgage industry, working in a financial institution in technology, or corporate culture and technology engineering and support best practices
  • CTS and/or Cisco certification.
