BUSINESS ANALYST

Currently looking for a Business Analyst who has expertise in applying technology-based solutions to solve advanced business problems.
This candidate should also understand technical software development, including SDLC and Agile software development best practices.
Have a fundamental understanding of technology components and concepts including but not limited to information management, databases, networking, Internet/intranet web applications, and software design documentation methods and tools.
Assist in testing or Service Introduction activities as well.

Job Duties:

Ensuring business and technical requirements are documented and understood across cross-functional project teams Working with subject matter experts to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for new and existing business processes and systems
Bridge the gap translating between business needs and solutions Interacting with the business, technical and support teams to collect and ensure the validity of requirements by scheduling and facilitating workshops: conducting interviews, developing use cases, mockups, etc.
Working with Business Process Mapping specialists, as necessary, to support the creation of process specifications flow, as well as influencing improvements aspects
Create and maintain the Requirement Traceability Matrix to confirm all requirements are traceable throughout the project
Providing effective guidance and coaching to less senior business/requirements analysts
Performing more generalized project management activities as necessary to support needs of the organization
Create use cases/user stories and business process models
Serve as a point of contact for all testing deliverables; provides clarifications to testing requirements o Monitoring testing activities as well as create and execute test scripts
Lead defect triage meetings and prioritization of defects and ensure test scripts are refined to test any defects during the testing phases
Assist Change Management and Service Introduction leads with help to develop and document deployment and application support plans, processes, and procedures.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or equivalent work related experience in lieu of degree
Three or more years of experience in information technology with a strong emphasis on Requirements Management in addition to a degree
Strong facilitation experience
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience
MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) experience

Desired Qualifications:
Experience with UML (Uniform Modeling Language) diagramming methods
Experience with BPMN (Business Process Modeling Notation)
Agile Framework experience Scrum methodology experience
JIRA experience
HP Quality Center experience
