The Netsuite Developer will be responsible for supporting existing customizations and interfaces, as well as scoping, designing, and developing new features and functionality in the Netsuite environment. IIa has been contracted to provide support an international organization in its vision to deploy its inclusive, integrated, sustainable prosperity development program (IISPD) initially in Africa.

The NetSuite Developer will support client in full implementation of NetSuite applications to meet business needs. The NetSuite Developer will provide customizations to NetSuite fields, forms, workflow rules, record types, user roles and dashboards, including writing code and perform unit testing.

The developer will create scripts containing business logic to support functional requirements, and review changes with management and perform required updates. In addition, the developer may develop and deploy stand-alone custom apps outside of core systems as required. 

Travel:  Some travel may be required. 

Required Experience, Skills, and Personality:
  • NetSuite Developer Certification preferred
  • Ability to develop custom NetSuite reports per requirements documents and standards
  • Experience developing and implementing data migration tools for migrating customer' s data into NetSuite
  • Desire to design and develop custom business processes
  • Strong analysis and troubleshooting ability, ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Attention to detail, especially in the organization and design of scripted solutions
  • JavaScript
  • .NET (C#)
  • Understanding international project developed desired
  • Minimum 5 years’ programming and/or customizing applications & platforms
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ in fast-paced retail and/or working with financial teams
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies (SCUM, Kanban)
  • 2-3 years’ Netsuite development/customization, preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Must be willing to work irregular hours (not necessarily 9-5)
  • Familiarity with agile/extreme/rapid/critical chain approaches for project management (Preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to feel comfortable working with unproven/challenging new concepts
  • Desire to learn new and different approaches
  • Ability to work on your own, as well as on teams
  • Ability to work in an entrepreneurial organization
  • Ability to handle chaos, turbulence, and constant change
  • Valid driver’ s license and reliable car
