Production Support Analyst

Enterprise Data Center and Batch Operations is committed to providing monitoring and first level support of all Infrastructure environments, and batch schedules. The IT Production Control Specialist is responsible for the monitoring activities associated with production control and coordination including planning, scheduling, input/output control, job setup and standards.
The associate will work closely with teammates and managers on various activities including resolving conflicts in schedules or resource requirements while minimizing impact on commitments to clients.
Administration, Monitoring and Support of all operations and batch environments: Windows, Linux, mainframe, Zeke, CA7 and CA Workload Automation dSeries
Setup/modify, monitor and track the mainframe and client server production batch job flows.
Researches production problems and initiates corrective action, along with preventative techniques where appropriate.
Executes next level call-outs and job restarts/resubmissions for abended production jobs.
Perform Mainframe system restarts(IPL) or Window Server Reboots.
Create/delete print queues and troubleshoot printer related issues.
Manage DHCP/IP Address on network related equipment and devices.
Troubleshoot Windows and Unix/Linux alerts and trouble tickets.
Respond to critical alerts or events in a timely manner.
Develop and promote standard processes and procedures.
Provides documentation/reporting for infrastructure related events.
Assists in determining and implementing necessary changes to the IT infrastructure.
Supports and trains co-workers in use of equipment, monitors and diagnostic tools.
Participation in Service Disruption events and Disaster Recovery exercises.
Conducting routine audits of Infrastructure/environments to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
2 or 4 year degree in Computer Science or IT related field or 1 - 3 years of IT related experience in lieu of degree.
Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office toolset
Ability to analyze, resolve, and document problems and resolutions
Knowledge of Batch Scheduling tools: CA7, CA Workload Automation dSeries, Zeke, TWS
Knowledge of data center operations
Familiar with mainframe and server infrastructure monitoring and alerting
Knowledge of print queues, DHCP, TCP/IP, DNS, etc? Experience working in a computer data center environment
Knowledge of UNIX, and Mainframe operating systems
