The Project Manager position is responsible for the management, or the assistance of managing, all phases of project planning and execution to ensure all project success factors are met, including but not limited to scope, schedule, cost, quality, environmental, safety, communications, security, and integration.
This position typically is assigned to multiple projects between $5M and $50M which may impact the facility or department level.
Provides leadership, management, direction, coordination, and control of the overall project in accordance with the established policies/procedures.
This position is considered a leadership position; minimum qualifications must be met to be placed within this position.
Progression to this level is typically restricted on the basis of business need.
This position requires an independent self-starter with the ability to work in a large matrix organization requiring collaboration with IT/Telecom and business operations to deliver key Telecom solutions for the business.
The job will leverage key business support teams including Change Management, Business Process Management, Training and Business PMO/Governance.
Strong analytical and technical background is desired.
Familiarity with application development and delivery lifecycle is required.
The candidate must have Project Management experience in technology deployments from a business perspective.
This individual will be responsible for the overall project activities for enterprise systems, insuring compliance to the GS PMO Governance standards.
Experienced and comfortable with presenting materials to all levels of management is essential.
Graduation from a four-year college or university
With a Minimum of 9 years of project management experience in lieu of degree
PMP or CAPM Certification
Professional Engineer License
Scheduling/ Cost Controls
Experience in utility industry
Knowledge in construction management
