Job Description

Kavaliro is seeking a senior/lead UXUI designer for a hybrid position in Orlando, Fl. The designer will be working with a cross functional team focused on identifying technical opportunities to enhance customer engagement by executing an elegant and seamlessly accessible experience. Key member in creating opportunities for efficiency and scalability through prototyping and documentation, and acting as a conduit to connect development and design teams with the Global Design System.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Knowledge of design system practices to include token creation and management, applying systematic theming, and creation/management of design/development documentation for end users
  • Mastery of web development fundamentals
  • Track record of building and working with responsive, dynamic web pages
  • An eye and passion for crafting world-class web experiences
  • Fluency in HTML, CSS, JSON and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with modern technologies including Flexbox and CSS animations
  • Strong proficiency with version control systems, including Git
  • Expert-level experience with Web Components format and Angular or React web frameworks
  • Algorithmic thinking and programming knowledge with at least one major programming language (Python, Javascript, Ruby, Go, C++, etc.)
  • GitHub, CodePen, or other links showcasing your skills, or a UI/UX portfolio is required
  • Fluency in design tools (e.g. Sketch, Figma, Invision, etc).
  • Deep understanding of how to create usable, accessible, and modular designs that can scale to millions of users
  • Ability to think outside the box and devise creative workarounds to technical challenges or limitations
  • Experience working and collaborating with diverse teams in a dynamic, rapid-growth environment
  • Experience & comfort prototyping and quickly iterating with a focus on the end user experience
  • Knowledge of reviewing and applying accessibility best practices to solutions.
  • Passionately advocate for the user
  • Comfortable with agile transformation
  • A positive attitude, open mind, and desire to collaborate and learn
EXPERIENCE:  2+ years contributing to design systems and 4+ years of engineering or development skills, OR significant industry experience uniquely qualifying you for this role.
