Sr. Application Developer - SharePoint with Active Secret Clearance

Kavaliro is looking for a Senior Applications Developer with an active Secret clearance and at least 2 years of SharePoint design and development experience.  This position is with our direct client in Ft. Belvoir, VA and is an immediate need.   
 

Job Summary: 
The candidate will put to use their knowledge and understanding of SharePoint to automate business processes, integrate visual designs, develop workflows and create collaborative workspaces. The candidate, as an integral member of a collaborative work team, will provide instrumental support and specialized expertise to team members regarding business process automation, workflows, task design, visual layout, and usability.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Develop  software solutions by studying requirements analysis and information needs; conferring with stakeholders and IT Management; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; performs software design using software development fundamentals and processes, debug, test, and deploy software solutions;
  • Design, develop and maintain key components of the software suite using classic ASP, Microsoft .Net and SharePoint Server 2010/2013;
  • Implementation of SharePoint-based workflows as well as development of Business Intelligence dashboards;
  • Document  and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code;
  • Build proof of concept examples. Then maintain product test software and develop demos for training purposes;
  • Actively participate in product design reviews by providing creative and practical ideas and solutions in a team environment. A wide degree of creativity and latitude required.

Skills/Qualifications: 
As a Applications Developer you will be required to perform the following duties:
  • Develop software solutions by studying requirements analysis and information needs; conferring with stakeholders and IT Management; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; perform software design using software development fundamentals and processes, debug, test, and deploy software solutions;
  • Develop and maintain MS ACCESS databases.   Meet with NEC-FB users to define new requirements, develop database definitions and data models, create databases, and develop forms and reports using Microsoft ACCESS and VBScript;
  • Implementation of SharePoint-based workflows as well as development of Business Intelligence dashboards;
  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code;
  • Build proof of concept examples. Then maintain product test software and develop demos for training purposes; 
  • Actively participate in product design reviews by providing creative and practical ideas and solutions in a team environment. A wide degree of creativity and latitude required.
  • Design and develop forms using Adobe LiveCycle Designer; and make modifications, as needed, to forms. 

Experience/Knowledge: 
•  Adobe forms development, knowledge of javascript is needed along with Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES4;
• Experience as a SharePoint Developer in the analysis, design, hands-on development and delivery of web-based applications;
• Knowledge and experience in the creation and integration of SharePoint Web Parts, templates and customization using html and SharePoint Designer;
• Experience programming in .NET 3.5, C#, ASP.NET, XML, Visual Studio and Java;
• Experience with SharePoint Designer, InfoPath, Web Parts, and workflow creation;
• Experience using jQuery, Client Object Model, and Service Oriented Architecture;
• Experience with SharePoint' s application services framework including implementation, configuration, and usages of Search, Managed Metadata, and User Profile Services;
• Ability to write Stored Procedures, write complex SQL queries, and ability to analyze the SQLdata is desired;
• Must have a strong programming background authoring well written, well documented, modular and clean code;
• Must be well organized, a good communicator, able to effectively prioritize tasks;
• Must be able to write thorough and concise functional and design specifications as well as easily readable end user documentation;
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and/or SQL Server Integration Services a plus;
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and to work successfully under pressure;
• Must be a team player exhibiting diplomatic and decisive qualities.

Education: 
  • High-school diploma or educational equivalent required; diploma from a technical or vocational school or have acquired equivalent military/DoD training. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Systems, or other related scientific or technical discipline is preferred. Work experience or industry certifications demonstrating technical proficiency may be substituted for education requirements.
  • Five (5) or more years of progressive experience providing IT application development, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support.
  • Must possess at least two (2) years of experience in SharePoint design and development.


Certifications/Training: 
Candidate must possess the following certifications in order to meet the DoD Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II Information Assurance (IA) Requirement: 

Applicant must have and maintain at least one of the following Information Assurance (IA) certifications prior to beginning employment: 
CompTIA, Security+ ce (Desired)
CISCO, Cisco Certified Network Associate – Security (CCNA-Security)
GIAC, Security Essentials Certification: (GSEC)
ISC2, System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) 

Higher certifications that meet IAT III requirements are also acceptable. (Must be approved and verified by management.) 

Applicant must also have at least one of the following Computing Environment (CE) certifications within 180 days from his/her start date:
Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), SharePoint Applications (Desired)
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), SharePoint
Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Web Applications
Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), Applications Lifecycle Management
MCSA: Windows Server 2008
