DA Role SADM:
The Data Analyst supports the Project Manager in the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of the project. The individual needs to be able to work independently as a self-starter with the ability to work in a large matrix organization requiring collaboration with IT and across business support teams including Change Management, Business Process Management, Training and Business PMO/Governance. Strong analytical and technical background. Familiar with application development and delivery lifecycle. Project experience in technology deployments from a business perspective. Experienced with the use of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Sharepoint. Comfortable with presenting materials to all levels of management.
• This role is responsible for the data management work in support of the implementation of a new technology solution for our business end users.
• This work is within the System Transformation workstream of the project and will assist with other workstream tasks as necessary
• This work is business-centric data-focused and will include (but is not limited to):
o Data Taxonomy
o Data Compatibility
o Data Integration / Interfaces
o Data Migration
o Reporting Requirements
o User Access Management (Profiles / Settings)
• This position is in the business PMO and will require heavy coordination with the IT PMO to ensure successful delivery of the business data management requirements and needs
• Data Analytical Skills:
Ability to work with large amounts of data: facts, figures, and number crunching
Ability to see through the data and analyze it to find conclusions
Ability to gain understanding of data and how it is used in business logic, etc, to apply it to new business logic
Strong Communication Skills:
o Ability to present findings, or translate the data into an understandable document
o Ability to write and speak clearly, easily communicating complex ideas
o Ability to look at the numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findings
Attention to Detail:
o Data must be precise.
o Vigilance in analysis to drive toward solid conclusions.
o Ability to apply the needed math skills to estimate numerical data
o Experience with business intelligence, dashboards, reporting tools and querying (e.g. SQL, PowerBI, Business Objects, etc.)
o Experience administering MS SharePoint site collections is desirable
