Data Analyst that will be responsible for developing and maintaining Queries, Stored Procedures, Functions, and Views in SQL Server databases supporting business operations. These SQL queries will be somewhat complex.
Devise creative solutions to solve a variety of data-related business challenges. This is within a Microsoft SQL Server 2016 environment. Individual needs to be able to switch tasks as needed and juggle multiple assignments while still meeting deadlines. This role will not be working on one single project for weeks/months at a time. There will be multiple projects with constant interruptions. Requires very strong analysis and communication skills
Develops SQL databases and writes applications to interface with SQL databases, as well as writes and tests code. Designs tables, stored procedures, views and functions.
Writes advanced SQL Server queries using data from various company systems including the Customer Hub, EDMS, EGIS, OpenWay, MTS, MDM, etc.
Maintain existing Queries, Stored Procedures, Functions, Views and SSIS Packages.
Manage multiple projects at once from start to finish with the adaptability to changing priorities.
Understands database maintenance processes (pertaining to Statistics, Indexes, Performance Analysis, Data Normalization)
Provides technical expertise and business process guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems and the advancement of opportunities.
Defines and develops key metrics to measure system/business performance. Lead data analysis and/or root cause investigations that are across multiple work groups or systems.
Ensures adherence to standards and best practices across multiple jurisdictional areas.
Must have experience in ETL using SSIS within SQL Server. Informatica experience is preferred but not required.
Proficient in practices of planning, data analysis, evaluating alternatives, and preparing and presenting recommendations
