Candidate will work on the project to be compliant with a new Privacy regulation for the European Union called GDPR and create a Data Protection Program to protect Data worldwide. This program will be multi-faceted and ensure the systems that store, process, or transmit Guest information are complying with our Disney Information Security Policies & Standards as well as adhere to Disney Data Retention requirements.

Immediate Focus:

• First step currently underway: get an accurate inventory of the systems that store, process, or transmit information. (please note: Cast Member Data Protection will be a future phase for this effort)

• During the next several months: Candidate will need to complete a security assessment and remediation planning for our systems that store, process, and transmit personal information.
o Note that this could be hundreds of systems across WDPR Domestic; our goal is to do a pilot program of ~10 or so systems in the next couple/few months and then ramp up these efforts significantly by the start of FY18
o We be working with (Security Specialists) who will execute the security assessments and remediation efforts

Basic Qualifications • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience managing technology initiatives. 
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. 
• Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and work-streams. 
• Strong leadership, team management, relationship building, and interpersonal skills. 
• Ability to determine when escalation is necessary and take necessary actions accordingly. 
***Proven Program Management and Project Management experience in a highly technical environment a must.*** Preferred Qualifications PMP certification 
Agile experience Responsibilities • Develop and maintain program plans. 
• Communicate program objectives, including detailed understanding of milestones, deliverables, and success criteria to impacted stakeholders. 
• Establish and maintain communication cadences, including recurring status reporting. 
• Escalate risks and constraints to senior management team in a timely manner. 
• Identify and remove roadblocks. 
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path. 
• Track and report slippages with workable mitigation plans. 
• Communicate progress clearly to varied stakeholders. 
• Facilitate problem solving with both strategic and tactical focus to achieve project goals. 
• Be self-directed and work independently and manage communications up and down.
