Oracle DBA generally works in the infrastructure side of the IT organization. 
Will be focused on installation and support of database management systems and adhering to best practices within the department while delivering high level of customer service. 
Individual with good communication skills and able to who work well in a collaborative environment. The DBA role tends toward supporting production, staging and/or quality assurance databases and the availability, access, and security of the associated data assets stored within. In addition, the DBA will consult with IT management and clients to identify and recommend opportunities for better utilization of technologies that could improve business application systems, business area operations, or infrastructure operations because of improved database maintenance, database monitoring, database security, database backup, database recovery, database performance, and/or database integrity techniques for production, staging, or quality assurance databases. 
Also provide the overall technical database expertise and leadership to the development team in delivering before mentioned solutions. 


Bachelor' s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. In lieu of a degree, 8 years of related business experience.
Oracle 11g or 12c 
Experience with sequential query language or the equivalent in one or more of the database platforms' native programming language(s). E.g., Perl, T-SQL, PL/SQL, Python, etc. 
Experience in file structures, design, retrieval, access methods, etc. 


Seven (7) plus years supporting Oracle 11g, 12c databases 
Advanced understanding of Oracle RAC, Data Guard and Golden Gate
Solid experience using SQL, SQL Plus, Toad, and PL/SQL 
Experience with Oracle 12g (upgrades and migrations), OEM Oracle Enterprise Manager
Experience supporting large complex applications 
Experience in a Large Database environment - 500+ databases
Experience with Oracle APEX
Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills 
Proven troubleshooting ability resulting in valid solutions or options for technical issues Utility or Energy industry experience 
Strong analytical and problem resolution skills, strong organizational skills, and ability to analyze business problems and opportunities.
