Department provides manufacturing and depot-level maintenance support to the operating divisions, both domestically and internationally. The Manufacturing Planner position supports the manufacturing production teams through the identification and acquisition of all materials, parts and components required for a project of job

Basic Qualifications       

Experience: Required:
  • 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment
  • Strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and personal organization
  • Exposure to multi-resource manufacturing operations
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (including GD&T and weld symbols)
  • Understanding of manufacturing principles across multiple crafts and trades (including machining, welding, staff/fiberglass, paint, etc)
  • Experience partnering with and managing third-party manufacturing vendors
  • Mastery of the Microsoft Office suite (specifically Excel)
  • Strong communication skills, the ability to navigate a complex organization, and the ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization (production area craft workers, engineers, project managers, etc)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience
  • Experience with SAP or other
  • Experience with Maximo (or other CMMS or manufacturing management software)
  • Experience managing projects/programs
  • Experience manufacturing planning, from individual parts/components to large-scale mechanical/electrical assemblies
  • Hands-on manufacturing experience, across multiple disciplines
  • Graduate degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering    

Required Education        BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering

Preferred Education       Masters in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
