The position is responsible for the management of all phases of project planning and development to ensure all project success factors are met, including but not limited to safety, environmental, scope, cost and schedule.
This position has single point accountability and will work under the general direction of a Senior PM.
Responsibilities and Duties
The Project Manager provides leadership, management, direction, coordination, and control of the overall project in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements of the organization.
This role is a matrixed role and will require extensive coordination with other internal and external organizations including:
Environmental Health & Safety, field implementation, project controls, etc.).
The PM is expected to manage matrixed members of the team and achieve performance of the project.
Establish and maintain strong communications among all project team members and stakeholders.
Structure and lead project related meetings and reports.
Examples include project development meetings, kickoff meetings, readiness reviews, turnover meetings, weekly reports, monthly reports, etc.
Drive the project planning process to include safety, scope development, completion of an environmental permitting checklist, schedule development, cost estimates, project funding approvals, procurement/contracting strategies, readiness reviews, etc. For each project, develop a comprehensive Project Plan and other supporting documentation as required by organizational procedures and PMCoE Standards.
• Power Industry/Utility Experience
• Excellent communicator
• 4 Year Degree and 5+ years of prior project management work related experience OR 9+ years of related project management experience in lieu of degree and related work experience.
• PMP certifications
• Proficiency in project related Scheduling and Cost Controls
• Proficiency in Risk Management
