Kavliro is currently seeking a Sr Infrastructure Architect to be a permanent part of the technology hosting organization for one of our leading clients in the Chicago area. The Infrastructure Architect will work with the hosting, development, and operations management to develop and implement next generation solutions. This position will be responsible for the strategy and architecture of numerous on-premise and cloud infrastructure solutions.


The candidate will help drive the implementation of various technologies on company platforms. This role will require close collaboration with other architects, team leads, security, and product management.

 

Responsibilities

Develop architecture documentation, blueprints, design decisions with applicable alternatives/ options and rationale on prescribed decisions

Candidate will be involved in Scoping and Requirements documents from internal customers, and assist in development of design, solution and implementation

Candidate will work with technology partners in developing standards and patterns for different deployment scenarios. Where capabilities do not exist, candidate will work with engineering teams to PoC exercises with relevant stakeholders to evaluate and certify capabilities

Understand non-functional requirements, and create performance metrics and traceability maps to determine the effectiveness and resiliency of architecture solutions in being able to meet key KPIs and SLAs

Candidate will work with Application Architects and Technology partners in developing roadmaps for building new workloads or migrating existing workloads in to different environments, including cloud

Candidate will assist customers in evaluating workloads and doing suitability analysis for on-prem, hybrid or cloud deployments

Keep abreast of relevant enterprise guidelines and standards, architecture best practices, patterns, developments in technology

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience developing large-scale infrastructures
  • Experience working to proactively identify cross program Infrastructure dependencies and potential downstream impact
  • Demonstrated successful working relationships with IT and Business customers
  • Experience evaluating tools, technologies, and process to best fit with existing practices
  • Working knowledge of frontend architectural topics (HTTP, Cookies, caching, web performance, scalability, security, third party integrations)
  • Experience working with Service Oriented Architectures
  • Experience creating technical documentation and training material
  • Experience leading technical change
  • Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with local and remote co-workers
  • Takes initiative to find better/faster ways of achieving desired outcomes
  • Passionate for building & maintaining world-class products
  • Excellent problem solving & troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to adjust to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to identify and raise key technical and/or process issues and collaborate with others to find solutions
  • Passion for learning and track record of acquiring new skills and technologies in a rapid fashion

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with automation tools to deploy platforms
  • Experience working with sensitive and/or regulated data (PII, PHI, Credit Card Information) and understanding of constraints and limitations of its usages

Experience and Education
  • Extensive experience (6-10 years)
  • Bachelor' s degree required, preferably in engineering, computer science, or information systems
