  • Supports the organization by recommending appropriate actions, strategies and/or alternatives to meet business needs. Has responsibility for leading/managing all aspects of the project such as planning, coordination, development, implementation including the financial implications while prioritizing work, resources and time.
  • Ensures the end state of the project and/or business operations meets business objective(s) and that all deliverables and due dates are met. Highly collaborative process often requires managing relationships across departments or multiple functional areas.
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    • Demonstrate expertise in creating and maintaining project deliverables such as project plan, status reports, project timesheets, estimates, communication plan, reports, risk management plan, budget (work hours and cost), milestone/deliverable charts, etc.
    • Demonstrate experience in managing issues, scope, and quality while bring projects to successful completion within the cost and time requirements
    • Demonstrate expertise in teambuilding and leading teams
    • Demonstrate exceptional decision-making, organizational and time management skills
    • Demonstrate competencies in project management with application development, integration and deployment projects
    • Manage the design, development and implementation of integrated solutions with both onsite and offsite resources
    • Coordinate with multiple vendors to establish work-efforts, maintaining an overall project plan
    • Provide periodic project updates
    • Analyze specifications to ensure business objectives are met
    • Oversee Unit and Integration Testing
    • Support System and UAT/Client Acceptance Test Efforts
    • Work with other team members to understand functional and technical requirements and identify and resolve issues and risks
    • Understand potential different implementation options, weighing them for best course of action and recommending best sequence of activities
    • Determine goals and priorities with management and key stakeholders, project sponsors and Major Projects Delivery management
    • Negotiate the performance of activities with team members and their managers
    • Manage and communicate clear vision of the project’ s objectives and motivate the project team to achieve them; create a project environment that enables peak performance by team members
    • Prepare project plan and obtain management approval
    • Analyze risk, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibility for initiating mitigation action
    • Tracking and reporting on progress to plan, cost and schedule reporting and change control
    • Manage relationships with project stakeholders, including internal and external clients and vendors
    • Involve functional expertise and specialist in design reviews and key decisions
    • Manage change to preserve business plan commitments 


  • B.S. in MIS, Business Administration, or related field required
  • 5+ years of Professional Project Management experience required
  • 5+ years’ experience as an IT Project Manager required
  • PMP certification required
  • Experience with 3rd party vendor implementation (3rd party vendor delivery, serving as consultant or client) required
  • Experience with implementation of software development or software integration projects required
  • 7+ years of managing Information Technology related projects using formal project management methodology, techniques and tools; proficiency with use of Microsoft Project required
  • Experience with Cloud Solution and or web implementation and delivery projects preferred
  • Experience with the Utility industry preferred
  • Experience with Sustainability preferred
  • Prior experience in implementing projects with those functionalities is a plus
  • Experience with Sciforma or similar project/portfolio management tool preferred
  • Experience with HP Quality Center or similar defect tracking QA system preferred
  • Strong leadership, administrative and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and interviewing skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to make presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to work 8AM – 5PM onsite required (no telework, no travel & expense reimbursement)
