Job Description
Job Requirements
- Review wages paid to ensure prevailing wages have been paid
- Develop procedure, where workers can report suspected failures to pay prevailing wage, or classify workers properly
- Track labor hours by apprentices, subject to ratios by DOL or registered apprenticeship programs
- Track so that company employs at least 1 apprentice per contractor and subcontractor if they employ at least 4 workers.
- Track all apprentices in excess of the applicable apprentice ratios so they can be paid at prevailing wage.
- Track all apprentice requests and Good Faith Exceptions and document them, dates, approved or not.etc.
- Maintain documentation sufficient to demonstrate compliance with the DBA IRA requirements
- Provide documentation weekly, monthly, or quarterly
- Keep Payroll Records in a format that is auditable and usable with copy of all relevant provision of any contract with respect to DBA and IRA
- Keep a Compliance Certificate with the Payroll Records that certify DBA and IRA were met for the applicable period
- Institute a mechanism to track Payroll Records data for purposes of paying any IRA Cure Liabilities, or otherwise correcting any failure to meet DBA or IRA requirements
- Ensure all tracking supports the documentation needed for 10 years ( or if IRS has initiated an audit, until it is concluded) per the audit requirements such as Payroll Records, Compliance Certificates and all such related records, also including
- a copy of all contracts by and between any contractor and other subcontractors
- any documentation provided to a contractor by subcontractor for the purpose of demonstrating compliance
- any additional Payroll Records necessary to meet the requirements of Section 6001 of the Code or Section 1.45-12 of the Proposed Regulations for the purpose of demonstrating compliance by contractors and any subcontractor
- Such records shall contain the name, address, and social security number of each such laborer or mechanic (including qualified apprentices)."
- Document and review information to ensure our Subcontractors:
- Compliance with DBA and IRA Labor Requirements
- Maintains documentation sufficient to demonstrate compliance with the DBA IRA requirements
- Provide documentation weekly, monthly, quarterly
