Job Description

Our client is seeking an AutoCAD Designer for an exciting contract to hire scenario.  The Designer will be experienced in preparing clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detailed drawings. A solid understanding of energy industry related drafting techniques and engineering terminology is required. The Designer shall have a drafting background and specialize in 2D & 3D AutoCAD and Civil 3D programs. They will also actively manage their time to maintain efficient, effective, and accurate production within their projects. Also, the Designer will have strong communication skills and be able to accomplish the results of the project at hand.

DUTIES:
• Actively engage in professional development.
• Champion company goals and processes.
• Actively participate in QA/QC to ensure consistency within the department.
• Work with Project teams to ensure project deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
• Clearly convey design philosophies, expectations, and timeline.
• Works with Project Drafting Lead to complete drafting assignments in timely manner.
• Create and setup CAD files.
• Adhere to standards when creating/modifying drawings.
• Self-check drawings and models prior to delivery to Project Drafting Lead.
• Generate project deliverables utilizing Adobe Acrobat.
• Work within the estimated time constraints given by Project Drafting Lead.
• Maintain and continually improve technical and professional abilities.
• Treat all company information and customer information confidentially.

REQUIREMENTS:
• 6+ years of experience in related oil and gas experience.
• Specialize in 2D & 3D AutoCAD and Civil 3D AutoCAD software.
• High level of organizational skills.
• Advanced user of Microsoft office suites.
• Familiar with Oil & Gas industry practices and standards.
• Actively engage in professional development.
• Champion company goals and processes.
• Actively participate in QA/QC to ensure consistency within the department.
