- Monitor help desk and resolve escalated issues - Provide support to end-users to resolve complex technical hardware/software issues.
- Documentation - Review and update user guides, server information, installation guides, project documentation, change management, etc.
- Projects - Involves server upgrades, migrations, implementations, and updates.
- Procurement - Support in asset quoting, ordering, tracking, and billing procedures.
- Infrastructure Team - Accommodate the rest of the infrastructure team with business operations support.
- Maintenance - Assist in ensuring an efficient, balanced, secure, and uninterrupted operation of all servers, workstations, and all other IT equipment. Maintenance on servers, patches, and general upkeep of various network appliances.
- Backups - Provide proactive support with our Veeam backup solution.
- Vendor Management - Escalation of high level issues to specific hardware or software vendors.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer Science/IT/IS/CSE; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6+ years of relative technical experience listed under the requirements section.
- 6+ years of IT experience with mid-to-large enterprise production environments.
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies and troubleshooting.
- Standard Desktop/Laptop/Printer Support with Microsoft Windows 7-10 and Microsoft Office Applications.
- Telecom experience with vendor management and trouble ticketing.
- Microsoft Server and all relative technologies.
- Citrix XenApp management or equivalent Microsoft Terminal Services experience.
- Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy configuration & design.
- Office 365 Administration & PowerShell.
- Networking Experience- Network cabling, basic switch configuration with VLANs, Firewalls, Routers, etc.
- Maintain awareness of emerging networking technologies and best practices, industry trends, and vendor strategies.
- Hypervisor experience with VMware vSphere or another hypervisor.
- Hyperscaler experience with Microsoft Azure or another Hyperscaler such as AWS.
- Any SAN Experience.
- Displays strong time management skills.
- Demonstrates a high energy level and is comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
- Possesses superior interpersonal abilities, demonstrates the ability to get along with diverse personalities and is tactful, mature, and flexible.
- Shows sound judgment and good reasoning abilities.
- Demonstrate strong communication and documentation skills.
- Is resourceful, self-initiating, and well organized.
- Has a participative management style and is an advocate of team concepts.
- Aptitude to establish credibility and be decisive; but be able to recognize and support the organization’s preferences and priorities.
- Exhibits a results and people orientation but has sound judgment-ability to balance other business considerations. Service oriented, but assertive and persuasive.
- Ability to travel with work schedule flexibility to include availability on weekends.
- Limited physical demands required.
