Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design Azure environments that align with project needs, security policies, and best practices.
- Configure and provision Azure resources such as virtual machines, networks, storage accounts, databases, and services to support various application workloads.
- Implement automation and orchestration using Azure Resource Manager templates, PowerShell scripts, or other relevant tools to streamline deployment and management processes.
- Monitor and optimize Azure environments for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency, making necessary adjustments to resource allocation and configurations.
- Implement security measures in Azure environments, including network security groups, access controls, encryption, and identity and access management solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure resource configurations, connectivity, and performance in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to facilitate continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines in Azure.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest Azure services, features, and best practices, and recommend their integration into our environment to enhance efficiency and capabilities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for Azure environments.
- Provide support and guidance to team members on Azure configuration best practices and strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in configuring and managing Azure environments, including familiarity with Azure Resource Manager, Azure Portal, Azure CLI, and Azure PowerShell.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and principles, along with hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) and automation.
- Familiarity with security practices in Azure, including network security groups, Azure Active Directory, role-based access control, and data encryption.
- Experience with Azure monitoring and management tools for performance optimization and cost management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred but not required).
