Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health/Life Insurance Benefits Consultant to join their team in Orlando, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in benefits consulting, a proven ability to manage substantial books of business, and extensive knowledge of health care reform and insurance products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic consulting on health and life insurance benefits to clients with a focus on enterprise-level organizations (5,000–10,000 employees).
- Maintain and grow a book of business exceeding $500k.
- Develop and implement benefits solutions, including self-funded plans and ancillary insurance products.
- Stay informed on Health Care Reform legislation and advise clients accordingly.
- Support clients through the quoting process, leveraging quoting tools and databases effectively.
- Conduct due diligence and provide expertise during mergers and acquisitions.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze and present data, and manage client databases.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of benefits consulting experience, required.
- Proven experience managing a book of business worth $500k or more.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
- Valid 2-15 Life and Health Insurance License, required.
- Expertise in self-funding, health care reform, and enterprise-level benefits solutions.
- Practical knowledge of quoting processes and tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with database applications.
- Merger and acquisition experience, including due diligence, preferred.
