The engineer will plan, design and oversee the building construction, land development and marine infrastructure.
Land development and utilities experience
Marine infrastructure experience (piers, bulkheads) a plus
BS degree in related engineering field; electrical, mechanical or civil and ten years of experience in project management.
Proficiency with latest version of AutoCAD including the preparation of drawings, maps and illustrations, presentations and drafting.
MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Roxio Creator, Google Map, Acrobat Pro and Adobe Photoshop.
Experience in developing and preparing spreadsheets, histograms and tracking of key project parameters, utilities usage and documentation control including recordkeeping of health and safety incidents company wide.
Familiarity with federal, state and local regulations including permit applications and oversight of applications – tracking of regulatory compliance actions and record keeping requirements.
Recordkeeping and maintenance of archived documents including drawings, specifications, bids, invoices, files, memorandums, permits, contracts and leases.
Experienced in marine infrastructure engineering, maintenance and repair – bulkheads, piers and port operations.
Ability to work independently with a commitment to achieve project goals on time and within budget constraints. Ability to effectively communicate and interface with terminal management and departments including operations, finance, maintenance and safety.
Effective negotiating skills in dealing with contractors and suppliers.
Familiarity with construction including building design, pavements, utilities, CCTV cameras, roofing and property development – experienced in development of specifications and scopes of work.
An ability to work and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
A PE is a plus
