This individual will be expected to work with a small team interfacing primarily with the Senior Level Cost Analysts and Corporate Finance personnel.
This position will provide support to the other analysts by generating reports on labor and materials using such tools as Business Objects, labor tracking applications, and contracts and materials management applications.
Some ad hoc research and basic analysis will be required to assist senior analysts in troubleshooting questions or issues with large capital projects.
This position will work with budgets, direct and indirect labor charges, accruals, overheads and allocations.
An understanding of accounting is important, although a degree in accounting is not required or expected.
Ability to understand the accounting ledger is needed in order to understand what the data means.
Must be self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in large financial and materials management systems that have massive amounts of data.
The potential to develop strong problem-solving skills is critical for growing beyond this analyst role.
Advanced level knowledge of EXCEL a must.
Bachelor' s Degree in finance, economics, business or engineering preferred or a combination of education plus equivalent work experience.
