Job Description
The HR Director will provide strategic direction for compensation function both domestically and internationally. Develop and implement strategies that support UPR total compensation objectives. Lead a team of compensation professionals.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the management, development, analysis, implementation, administration, communication, and compliance of various compensation projects based on business and/or regulatory needs.
- Provide guidance related to all compensation plans, programs, practices and processes. Conduct competitive reviews of compensation programs and processes and identify changes or develop new programs that support the overall business strategy.
- Direct market pricings, pay recommendation, job evaluations, salary structure review, market data collection and review of pay offers at all levels of the organization.
- Manage annual compensation planning for merit, short-term incentives, and/or long-term incentives. Develop, organize and distribute compensation communication materials.
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- This role supervises a team including an Exempt supervisory leadership team, Exempt non-supervisory, and non-exempt Team Members.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information to top management.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Financial analysis, project management, quantitative and qualitative research, excellent people skills, communication and motivation skills, organizational and planning skills, creative problem solving, business acumen required.
- Skill in Excel and the Office Suite is required.
Experience: 10+ Years: compensation management with experience in job evaluation and analysis, survey administration and analysis, incentive plan design and wage and salary administration; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with international compensation is preferred. Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) is preferred.
