Job Description


The ERP Data Master is responsible for maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of data across the company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This role collaborates with various departments to ensure data standards are established and adhered to, enabling efficient business processes and decision-making.

  • Data Management:
    • Oversee and manage master data in the ERP system to ensure consistency and accuracy.
    • Validate and correct data inconsistencies, discrepancies, and ensure data quality.
  • Data Governance:
    • Collaborate with departmental heads and stakeholders to define data standards, policies, and procedures.
    • Monitor adherence to data standards and work to continuously improve data quality.
  • Integration and Migration:
    • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate ERP with other systems, ensuring seamless data flow and accuracy.
    • Assist with data migration during ERP upgrades or when incorporating new systems/modules.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    • Generate reports from the ERP system as required by different departments.
    • Work with business intelligence teams to optimize ERP data for analytical needs.
  • Training and Support:
    • Provide training to users on best practices for data entry and maintenance.
    • Assist with troubleshooting data-related issues in the ERP system.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Regularly review and update data management processes to meet evolving business needs.
    • Stay updated on industry best practices and technologies related to ERP data management.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with IT, finance, operations, and other departments to address data requirements and challenges.
  • Project Management
    • Collaborate with various departments to plan and manage data transformation projects.
    • Perform tasks within the ERP to support business projects while ensuring accuracy of the data within the ERP.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Previous experience in ERP data management or related data-focused role.
  • Proficiency in ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data structures, and database concepts.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Proven experience as an ERP Data Master or in a similar data management role.
  • Proven experience managing a large data environment.
  • Experience in strategic planning, risk management, and change management.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Outstanding collaboration and organizational skills.
  • Focus on a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Extensive knowledge of principles and methods applied to information technology infrastructure, planning, implementation, and management.
  • Extensive knowledge of the body of available and current information resources applicable to the department’s functions for technical research purposes and for special projects as may be assigned.
  • Ability to organize work, establish priorities, meet established deadlines, and follow up on assignments with minimum direction.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, division and department heads.
  • Ability to clearly communicate information both verbally and in writing.
