Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer with 1+ years of experience to support engineering projects from planning through execution. The ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of permitting, construction coordination, technical documentation, and field equipment, with a strong foundation in electrical calculations and software tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in obtaining permits from local governing agencies and facilitate the meter installation process.

  • Support the scheduling and coordination of construction crews, while understanding limitations related to manpower and equipment.

  • Interpret and review civil, AutoCAD, and technical drawings, including riser diagrams and GIS maps.

  • Prepare and review invoices and estimate reports for project costing and budgeting.

  • Conduct electrical calculations such as amperage (pre- and post-meter), voltage drop, transformer/wiring sizing, and fault current analysis.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, organizational policies, legal guidelines, and local ordinances.

  • Maintain and analyze financial records using governmental accounting practices.

  • Perform accurate arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, ratios, percentages, and rates.

Tools & Technology:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Familiarity with software applications such as PSERM, CC&B, AutoCAD, ePets, ArcReader, and ARM360.

  • Use of standard field and office equipment including iPhone, measuring wheel, company radio, hammer, wood stakes, and spray paint.

Physical & Working Conditions:

  • Work may be conducted outdoors and could involve exposure to weather conditions, electrical hazards, insects, and confined spaces.

  • Physical activities include standing, walking, sitting, bending, climbing (stairs, ladders, hills), overhead reaching, and lifting up to 20 lbs.

  • Must be able to speak and hear clearly, perform detailed inspections, type and write reports, and operate a company vehicle if required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

  • 1+ years of relevant work experience.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
