Enterprise Infrastructure Architect
As an IT Infrastructure architect, you will work as part of a team of highly experienced engineers under the direction of the Enterprise Architect to design and define system architecture for new or existing computer systems. As application architect you will be responsible for:

IT infrastructure, servers, storage, desktops

Data protection infrastructure, backups, data replication
The infrastructure architect will work collaboratively with the Application Architect, Cybersecurity architect and the Network infrastructure architect as part of the solution architecture team under the Enterprise Architect to ensure new capabilities and services compliant with the overall enterprise architecture.
The successful candidate for this position needs to have a wide and deep understanding of both mission systems and technologies. Must possess technical, business, and industry knowledge to come up with technical solutions while taking into consideration industry best practices, models, and frameworks. Familiarity with DoDAF, DESMF, and ITIL highly desired.
As a solution architect you will evaluate mission requirements and come up with solution designs in the form of products or services.
Must have strong communication skills and be comfortable documenting and communicating the solution via system, application, process, and data views using DoDAF or another EA framework to actively guide the development and integration team to success.
Solution architect will oversee all technological risks and make sure that the described solution proves to be consistent with enterprise IT architecture while meeting all the necessary requirements.
They coordinate ongoing activities and translate the design concept to IT operations. Thus, in their assigned role, solution architects work closely with project managers to make sure that everyone involved in a project implementing a solution, including the stakeholders, are on the same page and move in the right direction throughout all phases of the project.

Identifies solutions based on business and technical criteria, analyzes alternatives based on trade space, and implements designs

Experienced with with cloud technology and able to make recommend where and how new systems be deployed in a hybrid cloud environment.

Research current and emerging technologies and process methodologies and proposes changes and tailoring where needed

Assesses the system and business process architectures currently in place and works with staff to recommend improvements

Ensures technical architecture teams deliver efficient and effective system solutions to support business goals and objectives

Develops, enhances, and maintains established service design procedure and process by applying process frameworks and methodologies
-
Prepares and presents test plan, technical presentations, and analyst briefings
-
Identifies customer requirements, analyzes alternatives, and conducts product recommendations related to software, platform, and network configurations
-
Provides updates to stakeholders on project cost, schedule, and quality in comparison to stakeholder objectives
-
May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced technical professionals
-
May serve as a team or task lead
-
Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in solutions architecture

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BA/BS or equivalent, 15+ years of experience
