Job Description

Opportunity:

Responsibilities:
  • Estimate creation & setup
    • Creates estimate folders.
    • Keeps Accubid default job up to date with current labor rates, tax rates, etc.
    • Reviews bid opportunities, bid plans and specifications, proposed schedule.
    • Performs estimate takeoff.
    • Requests material, equipment, and other miscellaneous pricing from various vendors, verifies quotes meet owner expectations.
    • Reviews and finalizes estimate with management.
    • Creates estimate scope of work.
    • Submits estimate to customer.
    • Performs estimate handoff to project management upon award.
    • Assists Project Manager and owner with Value Engineering ideas and pricing.
  • Responsible for maintaining organized document flow within assigned estimates.
  • Assists Business Development and Project Management with customer / jobsite visits as necessary.

Required Experience:
  • 1+ years of estimating commercial and / or industrial electrical projects.
  • Seeking prior estimating experience with bids ranging from $250K - $20M.
  • Experience with Trimble Accubid electrical estimating software or other similar products.
  • Principles and practices of estimating, including planning, scheduling, organizing, and coordinating.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws related to the assigned project area.
  • Safe working practices, codes, and regulations applicable to the assigned project area.
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
