DevOps Engineer

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Systems Engineer with strong expertise in Apache NiFi, Rancher Kubernetes (RKE2), and Ceph storage to support mission-critical integration and data flow operations. This engineer will be responsible for installing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting complex systems in a fast-paced environment, ensuring continuous system availability and performance. The role requires flexibility to provide on-call after-hours support to resolve urgent issues that impact operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with Apache NiFi installation, troubleshooting, and flow design.
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes (preferably RKE2/Rancher), including pod/application management and troubleshooting.
- Proven background managing Ceph storage solutions in production environments.
- Experience with Linux-based systems administration and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Helm).
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments with rapid issue resolution requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication/documentation abilities.
- Willingness to provide after-hours and on-call support.
- Experience in enterprise or government environments with mission-critical systems.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack).
- Understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and security best practices.

- On-site only — telework is not available. Participation in an on-call rotation is required.
- Candidates must have an active TS/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph
