Job Description

Kavaliro is seeking a Software Engineer II to support a client in Maryland.

Job Description:
Kavaliro is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud-Based MapReduce Analytics Developer to support a mission-critical program within the intelligence community. This position requires expertise in developing high-performance analytics using Java and MapReduce, with a strong foundation in processing large-scale data sets and graph analytics. If you thrive in fast-paced, secure environments and are passionate about big data and distributed systems, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable MapReduce analytics in a cloud-based environment.
  • Write efficient, maintainable, and reusable Java code to support data processing workflows.
  • Implement graph analytics solutions to uncover hidden insights and relationships within large datasets.
  • Collaborate with mission users, data scientists, and other developers to meet analytic requirements.
  • Ensure analytics meet performance, scalability, and security standards.
  • Maintain clear and detailed documentation of all development work.
Required Qualifications:
  • Active Full Scope Polygraph (FS Poly) clearance (must be current and valid).
  • Proficiency in Java programming.
  • Experience with MapReduce programming models (PMR).
  • Hands-on experience in graph analytics and associated data structures.
  • Familiarity with distributed computing principles and big data frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desired Skills (Optional but Preferred):
  • Experience working in IC cloud environments (e.g., C2S, GovCloud).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data pipelines and analytics frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Apache Hadoop, Spark, or other distributed platforms.
Location:
  • Fort Meade, MD
  • This position is onsite and there is no remote availability
Clearance Requirement:
  • Candidates must have an active TS/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph
