HR Assistant

Job Description
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Maintain meticulous employment records, from hiring to termination, leveraging HRIS and Excel.
• Collaborate with the HR team to revise documents like employee booklets and policies.
• Serve as the go-to for explaining and upholding company policies and benefits.
• Field general HR inquiries via our internal JIRA ticketing system.
• Coordinate the advertising of job openings on platforms such as Indeed and Handshake.
• Assist in screening job applicants, scheduling interviews, and updating candidates on their application statuses.
• Manage office events, from birthdays to holidays.
• Capture meeting minutes to share with the HR Department.
• Conduct orientation sessions for new hires.
• Organize and update HR data on SharePoint and Confluence.
• Administer surveys, analyze results, and suggest improvements.
• Draft company-wide communications on behalf of HR.
• Step in as receptionist backup during breaks or absences.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Familiarity with personnel recruitment, selection, training, and clerical procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective multitasking and project prioritization abilities.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work autonomously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• A friendly demeanor with a background in customer service.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Management, Communications, or related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
