Job Description


Kavaliro’s client is seeking an experienced IBM Developer to join their dynamic team. This position will focus on software development, troubleshooting, and end-user support, specifically working with IBM iSeries applications and modern reporting tools. The ideal candidate will have expertise in both legacy and contemporary systems to maintain and enhance enterprise-level software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain software applications, primarily on IBM iSeries and SQL platforms.
  • Create and manage reports using Analytics Now/Cognos, Crystal Reports, and PowerBI to analyze critical business data.
  • Work closely with third-party vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot, enhance, and implement software systems.
  • Design and develop applications in Laserfiche and provide training and support to end-users.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring high levels of system availability and performance.
  • Collaborate across departments to understand data needs, optimize reporting, and ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Assist in software upgrades, data migrations, and system integrations.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, training materials, and user guides.
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in software development, particularly with IBM iSeries and SQL.
  • Proficient in Analytics Now/Cognos, Crystal Reports, PowerBI, and Laserfiche.
  • Solid understanding of Central Square Naviline software and its operational uses.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Strong foundation in security standards and compliance practices.
  • Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues in a multi-platform environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and interact effectively with users and technical teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in data analysis and report generation.
