Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, edit, and finalize health plan communications, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with compliance, legal, and operational teams to review and approve materials.
- Manage timelines and deliverables for communication projects, balancing multiple priorities with minimal oversight.
- Translate complex regulatory requirements into member-friendly communications.
- Provide subject matter expertise in marketing, communications, and health plan operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in marketing communications, technical writing, or content development.
- At least 2 years of direct experience writing/editing in a regulated environment (healthcare, health plans, insurance, or similar).
- Proven ability to work independently and deliver high-quality work with minimal training or ramp-up.
- Strong understanding of compliance, regulatory requirements, and member-facing communication standards.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with keen attention to detail.
- Previous experience supporting health plan operations or payer communications.
- Familiarity with CMS, state regulatory guidelines, or healthcare compliance frameworks.
- Project management or vendor management experience.
