Kavaliro is seeking a KPMO Space Systems Engineer to support a client in Virginia. 

Job Description:
Kavaliro is seeking a KPMO Space Systems Engineer to provide advanced engineering support across all phases of the system lifecycle to ensure the delivery of timely and accurate GEOINT. This role applies a multi-disciplinary approach to the development, integration, and sustainment of space-based capabilities within Controlled Access Programs (CAPs) and Special Access Programs (SAPs) across the NSG and DoD/IC.
Responsibilities:
  • Support requirements engineering, solutions development, systems reliability and resiliency, deployment, R&D, integration, T&E, and maintainability analysis.
  • Apply secure architecture expertise within highly classified environments.
  • Perform space-related analysis including SOSI, BMC3, and orbital analysis.
  • Support activities across space-to-ground, threat assessments, physics models (e.g., space weather, damage analysis), and space object measurement.
  • Collaborate with mission partners including NRO, SAO, and AF SPO. Apply MBSE processes, tools, and languages.
Required Qualifications:
  • Master’s in Engineering and 18+ years of experience, or PhD in Engineering and 10+ years.
  • Demonstrated experience with IPS or SSA applications.
  • Experience with space enterprise information needs and multi-classification level data.
  • Deep knowledge of secure architectures and multi-level data processing.
  • Experience with NRO/SAO or AF SPO environments. TS/SCI clearance adjudication and ability to pass CI Poly.
  • Additional Requirements: Must sign additional NDAs and provide proof of Organizational Conflict of Interest (OCI) status.
Location:
  • Springfield, VA
  • This position is onsite and there is no remote availability
Clearance Requirements:
  • Candidates must have an active TS/SCI and a CI Polygraph
  • Applicant MUST hold a permanent U.S. citizenship for this position in accordance with government contract requirements.
