Job Description
- The Systems Administrator performs system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture.
- Provides problem resolution and technical support for delivery systems.
- Provides support for the design, validation and configuration management of computing delivery systems.
- Administers users system access and works to protect information to meet security requirements.
- Monitors system performance to support capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery planning.
Required:
- Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- 3+ years of experience with performing system administration tasks on Linux hosts including installing security patches and making configuration changes to support security requirements
- 3+ years of experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Oracle Linux/RHEL 6 or higher
Preferred:
- 5+ years of experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Oracle Linux/RHEL 6 or higher
- 5+ years of experience with installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Windows 7 or higher
- Packaging and updating the base Linux operating systems installations
- Strong Knowledge of Kickstart Scripts
- Strong Knowledge of Bash (specific)
- 3+ years experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support for Oracle Linux/RHEL 6 or higher
- Packaging and updating the base Linux operating systems installations
- Creating configuration modules in puppet, Ansible and making shell scripts
- Work with other teams to define the standard practices and the technology stack used to support our customers.
- Manage the execution of break/fix requests and larger long term projects to improve the technology stack.
- Installation and integration of Windows and Linux operating systems and related COTS products.
- Develop and manage the workflow tools and respective metrics to ensure the delivery of services and team development.
- Evaluating and effectively communicating complex system problems and resolution.
- Integrate security solutions (McAfee, Splunk, HBSS) into information systems
- Administering user system access and establishing safeguards to protect information to meet security requirements.

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).
