Job Description

Opportunity:
  • Well-respected industry leader offering competitive salary, bonus plan, 401k match, ESOP, and generous vehicle allowance.
  • The Project Manager is responsible for the direction, completion, and financial outcome for industrial electrical construction projects of varying size ranging from $1M - $5M in scope.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Direct the day-to-day operations of Projects, implementing plans and policies to achieve overall company objectives to insure maximum operating results.
  • Plan, staff, and supervise Project activities with the support of the Branch Manager.
  • Overall responsibility for the execution and management of company and OSHA safety policies on the job site.
  • Coach, mentor, and direct the development of Field Leaders to improve and enhance their contribution to the Company.
  • Reviews and approves all Purchase Orders related to Project costs.
  • Makes monthly projections of Project billing, costs, and profits.
  • Estimates Projects and Project change orders under the supervision of the Branch Manager.
  • Establishes and manages the work schedule (hours per day, days per week, shift work, etc.) for each of their Projects.
  • Perform the Job Setup with the associated Field Leader.
  • Consistently visits the jobsite to perform and manage activities.
  • Utilize ERP system for documentation and project tracking.

Qualification Requirements:
  • 5+ years’ experience in specialty trade construction (preferably in electrical construction) including project management experience. Project management experience must include estimating as well as execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Construction Management, OR
equivalent combination of industry experience, education, and training, including OSHA 30 or
above.
  • Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods required.
  • Experience in reviewing and executing within contract specifications.
  • Experience in execution and management of company and OSHA safety policies on a job site.
