Job Description


Kavaliro has partnered with a client who is seeking a SQL Backend Developer with expertise in Blackbaud software. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our database systems and applications. You will work closely with our clients' team to ensure data integrity, performance, and security while leveraging Blackbaud solutions for our specific needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design, develop, and maintain SQL database systems that support our applications and business processes.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective SQL queries and data structures.
  3. Optimize database performance, query efficiency, and indexing strategies to ensure the system's scalability and responsiveness.
  4. Develop and maintain data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes using Blackbaud software to integrate with our systems.
  5. Implement data security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, performance bottlenecks, and other technical challenges.
  7. Create and maintain documentation related to database schemas, processes, and configurations.
  8. Stay updated with the latest developments in Blackbaud software and leverage it to enhance our database solutions.
  9. Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a SQL Backend Developer with a focus on Blackbaud software.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, database design, and optimization.
  • Experience with Blackbaud CRM, Raiser's Edge, or other Blackbaud solutions.
  • Knowledge of data integration and ETL processes.
  • Familiarity with data security and compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Blackbaud certification (preferred but not mandatory).
