Job Description


Kavaliro’s client is seeking a Sr. Executive Director of Philanthropy to lead their fundraising and donor engagement efforts. This key leadership role will focus on driving major gift initiatives, overseeing campaign strategies, and ensuring sustainable financial support for the organization’s mission.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies, including major gift solicitation and capital campaigns.
  • Oversee and expand donor relationships, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify grant opportunities and manage the grant-writing process.
  • Lead and mentor a team of development professionals to achieve fundraising goals.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with donors, alumni, corporations, and foundations to secure financial support.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in fundraising, with a track record of success in major gift/campaign initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in grant writing and securing significant funding through grant opportunities.
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience in non-profit organizations or higher education sectors.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
