Job Description

Kavaliro is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer for an Orlando based organization. There is some remote flexibility, however the opportunity is onsite 3-4 days a week. 

Job Responsibilities:
  • Primary responsibilities include performing project-based engineering, design, installation and troubleshooting of data/security networks.
  • Working with junior members of the engineering team to successfully implement secure network solutions.
  • Routing, switching, and security configuration and deployment in an enterprise environment.
  • Provide network engineering consulting services, including assessment, design and implementation of secure networking environments
  • Assist clients through planning, design, and implementation of secure data communications networks.
  • Develop comprehensive graphical and text-based design documentation and effectively manage the implementation process from design to customer acceptance.
Required Skills: 
  • Expert-level knowledge and experience with design, implementation, and support of the following:
    • Network Access Control, including Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) implementation design, configuration, and deployment in a lab environment.
    • IDS/IPS solutions (Cisco is a must)
    • Firewalls/VPNs (Cisco is a must, Palo Alto, Juniper, etc. are optional)
    • Complex routing and switching solutions (Cisco is a must, Arista is a plus)
  • BS in CS or EE or 8-10 years related experience.
  • CCNP level experience required.
  • CCIE Security or R&S - Preferred
Additional Desired Skills: 
  • Ability to physically wireless survey or lift and install equipment.
  • Experience with a combination of the following wireless platforms:  
    • Cisco, Meraki, HPE Aruba,
  • Experience performing wireless designs and assessment surveys with tools such as:
    • Ekahau, Air Magnet
  • Working knowledge of 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax Wi-Fi standards and architecture 
  • Understanding of wireless authentication methods including 802.1x, EAP, RADIUS, etc.
Education and Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
  • 8+ years of networking experience, including configuring, analyzing & troubleshooting complex networks.
