As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our financial reporting and accounting functions. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assist preparing financial statements, and assisting with audits. Responsibilities
  • Responsible for daily cash reconciliation and resolving any differences.
  • Perform job costing analysis and reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports for construction activities.
  • Work with the Accounting Manager to ensure property tax filings are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to construction accounting
  • Reconcile bank/credit card statements and maintain accurate financial records
  • Assist with audits and prepare reports for external auditors
  • Ad-hoc projects, reporting and account reconciliations, and other assignments as needed to support the finance team

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and construction ERP, Viewpoint is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
