We are looking for a Staff Accountant to support the general accounting and financial processes of our company.
The candidate will be responsible for all daily accounting tasks, including maintaining the GL, preparing tax documents, and updating expense files. You will also carry out relevant administrative duties (e.g. responding to clients via email and handling invoices).
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update accounting records and files.
- Assist in the creation of the annual budget.
- Analyze budgets and create various reports for management.
- Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g. by assets, liabilities and expenses)
- Analyze transactions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Have key role in closing books.
- Prepare documents for audits.
- Aid in preparing financial statements.
- Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
- Report to the Accounting Manager and work to improve financial processes.
- Any other such duties as may be required.
- 2+ years experience as a Staff Accountant
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel; very good with spreadsheets
- Knowledge of an accounting information system (ERP) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Confidentiality and integrity
- Degree in Accounting.
9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday
On-site work: This role requires on-site presence; no remote/hybrid work.
Must have reliable transportation to commute to 32256
