Responsible for daily maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrading of network servers, computer hardware, software, peripheral equipment and business/laboratory applications. Ensure security of networked systems; make recommendations regarding hardware and software acquisitions; draft and/or update IT procedures and prepare IT-related documentation. Act as part of a project team during implementation. Provide tier 3 assistance to users; and perform related work as required.



  • 8+ years’ experience. Professional training through industry recognized organizations strongly desired.  Bachelors of Science Degree preferred.


  • Advanced administration of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). Organize collections, create and deploy software packages, generate custom reports, configure and maintain operating system deployments (boot images, drivers, WIM, and task sequences)
  • Must have in-depth knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows servers, networking and applications, including but not limited to Server 2012 and Active Directory
  • Hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting and repairing server and data center related hardware
  • Thorough understanding and effective troubleshooting methodology of TCP/IP protocols configuration and services such as DNS, DHCP, and SMTP
  • Provide administrative support of an enterprise-class VMware V-Sphere environment
  • Ability to manage the Storage Area Networks and HP servers
  • Ensure the Enterprise Windows Server System performance is fully functional twenty four hours a day/seven days a week with little to no downtime
  • Administer Active Directory, WSUS, DHCP, DNS, GPO, Print Server' s, File Server' s, and Microsoft clustering
  • Maintain patch compliance for the Windows Enterprise Server Environment that consists of all Hewlett Packard servers running Windows Server 2008/2012
  • Identifies system requirements for operations and security and works with other engineers and staff to develop designs and integrate components
  • Performs system designs, developments and product verification testing on power, control systems, software, hardware, and equipment
  • Provides technical direction and assists with integration and prototype development efforts
  • Provide recommendations that address the future performance needs of the Enterprise Windows Server System through ongoing monitoring of capacity planning and management to ensure that continuity and full functionality of the system operations and integration
  • Perform full beta-testing to ensure full functionality and integration with all Enterprise Windows Server systems prior to applying changes to production systems
  • Document all procedures and installs of new products to include templates for Windows server configurations
  • Participate in on-call support, scheduled weekend outages, and Disaster Recovery activities as required
  • Review documentation to ensure that it meets testing standards, document trouble shooting, and restoral activities
  • Create test plans that allow for a proper evaluation of hardware and software being considered for implementation
  • Prepare specifications for commercial off the shelf hardware, software, and services
  • Prepare and present training information to junior technical staff

Required: Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
