Job Summary

Candidate shall be responsible for supporting the Systems Engineering efforts associated with the design, development and deployment of a military range training system. Candidate shall utilize tools such as Enterprise Architect to develop Model Based Systems Engineering work products to guide the development efforts. Candidate shall be develop and derive Systems Requirements and develop Use Cases and User Stories associated with new system development and/or modifications. Candidate shall be able to develop Sequence Diagrams and Class Diagrams supporting functionality being developed by Software Engineers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop / Derive Systems Requirements and capture in DOORs (or equivalent tool)
  • Perform Model Based Systems Engineering work products using Enterprise Architect to include Use Cases/User Stories, Sequence Diagrams, Class Diagrams
  • Map requirements to MBSE work products
  • Work closely with development team to design and document a solution based on identified requirements

Education/Experience/ Clearance:

Required:
  • Bachelor' s degree in systems engineering, a related specialized area or field is required (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience; or Master' s degree plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Secret Clearance (interim OK)

Preferred:
  • Milestone XProtect Professional Certification
  • MCSE Server Infrastructure Certification
  • VmWare Certification
  • CISCO Networking Certification
  • Previous work on military training ranges (Army or USMC)
  • Working knowledge of Milestone video management solutions
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Pro-E

Technical Skills

Preferred:
  • Enterprise Architect experience
  • Army Live Training Range system development experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Servers, Cisco Servers, NETApp
  • Background with AutoCAD, Pro-E
  • Working knowledge of Information Assurance policies and procedures (DIACAP, RMF)
  • MBSE/UML – Use Cases/User Stories, Sequence Diagrams, Event Traces, Class Diagrams

Other Qualifications:
  • Possess clear and precise oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to travel to sites and interface directly with customer and site personnel
  • Submit to required background check
  • Able to meet requirements to work on a military installation, including having a valid state driver' s license and car insurance.
  • Be self-motivated with ability to establish priorities and effectively manage time to complete multiple tasks within specified time frames
  • Be organized with a strong sense of urgency
  • Adhere to established guidelines and procedures
  • Demonstrate high standards of quality and accuracy
  • Be in attendance and punctual as scheduled
